RAS connection at Air Liquide

Prerequisite:

• A member of Air Liquide's staff has to physically plug in a cable where the grip is to be made, and check that this is the case.
• If telecommuting, connect to Micromedia VPN

Connect to 192.168.5.18 using RDP

In the next window choose more choice (1) then Use a different account (2)

items to be indicated :

• user : .\mmi
• password: mmi

Once the connection has been established, go to Remote Access (Start Menu/Settings/Network and Internet).

In the new window, click on Number (Numbers, user names and mdp are normally saved, if not see the RAS folder in sharepoint):

 

once the link has been established, it's as if you were on the local network: you need to make another RDP connection to the desired machine, usually 192.168.10.11 for the main station and 192.168.10.12 for the redundant one. Identifiers and mdp can be found in the keepass or intervention reports.

Caution: max speed 56K... it won't be fast at all (possibility of using the mRemoteNG software, which is less resource-hungry than Windows RDP).
