AlertMobile Howto : Configuring the Alert application 🔒
Drivers
General
The "AlertMobile" application communicates with ALERT via 2 types of drivers:
- The "AlertMobile WIFI" driver uses the WiFi network and a direct mobile data connection,
- The "AlertMobile Android" and "AlertMobile Apple" drivers use the push services of the various platforms via a mobile data connection or WiFi over the Internet.
This option is compatible with Alert version 3.6 revision 1 build 22 and higher.
Active communication media
The Alert software activates a number of communication media when it is first installed.
You need to list them in the Configuration tab.
Next select Communications
The following window appears, in which you can select the Drivers tab
No AlertMobile driver is active in the Communication - Drivers window.
To activate AlertMobile drivers, go to the Driver AlertMobile Android and Driver AlertMobileWifi screens.
AlertMobile Android driver
Click on Drivers (near Properties)
- The Activate a communication driver window appears.
- Select AlertMobile Android and click the Activate button
- The AlertMobile Android driver appears in the list of drivers in the Communication window.
- Activation must then be confirmed by pressing the activate button.
And save with ok
Note :
If you can't find the AlertMobile Android driver in the list, you'll need to run the ALERT setup.exe application.
Driver AlertMobileWIFI
Pour ajouter le driver “AlertMobileWIFI”, il faut procéder de façon identique au chapitre précédent:
The AlertMobile Wifi driver appears in the list of drivers in the Communication window.
Note :
If you can't find the ALertMobile Wifi driver in the list, you'll need to run the ALERT "setup.exe" installation application.
Operator configuration
Add an operator using AlertMobile Android (mod Web)
Select the "Operators" item in the Alert explorer and the window below appears.
Right-click to open the context menu.
Click on add operator and the following window will appear
After entering :
- Name
- First name
- Identifier
- Password
Click on the Add button (... in the left-hand corner below).
The Number / Address window opens and you must :
- Select AlertMobile Android in the Number type drop-down window
- Enter the phone number in the Number/Address field
- Click OK , the Number/Address window closes and the data is saved.
- Click OK in the Operator Properties window to save the data.
The added operator and associated data appear below in the list of declared operators.
Add AlertMobileWifi to a user
After clicking on Operator property, click on the Add button in the left-hand corner below.
The Number / Address window opens and you must :
- Select AlertMobile Wifi in the Number type drop-down window
- Enter the phone number in the Number/Address field
- Click OK to close the Number/Address window and save the data
Below is the 2nd media set up with AlertMobile Wifi.
Wifi communication
Alert can communicate with ALertMobile via the Wifi network (use AlertMobile Wifi driver). This chapter details the operations and information required to configure this connection.
PC ALert IP address
The IP address of the ALert PC is required to configure the AlertMobile application. To obtain it, use the Ipconfig command in the Windows "CMD" command prompt (see below).
PC ALert port 8124 activation
TCP ports 8123 (or 8124) must be enabled.
